WHAT IS A SALIVA TEST KIT?

The kit typically includes a tube or container for collecting the saliva sample and instructions on how to provide the sample. Once the saliva sample is collected, it is sent to a laboratory where the DNA (Bacterial DNA for Oral Health, Human DNA for Whole Genome) is extracted and analyzed using advanced technologies.

HOW DOES THE SALIVA TEST KIT WORK?

• Collect the saliva sample: Follow the instructions provided in the kit to collect your saliva sample, which involves spitting into a collection tube. Please don’t eat, drink, or smoke for 30 minutes before collecting the sample.
• Return the sample: Send the saliva sample to the laboratory using the prepaid shipping label inside the box.
• Analysis: The laboratory extracts the DNA from the saliva sample and analyzes it using advanced technologies. The laboratory then passes that data onto CircaGene who analyse it further using AI models and Bioinformatics.
• Receive the results: Once the analysis is complete (2 weeks for Oral Health, 4 weeks for Whole Genome), you will receive their results online.

Whole Genome

• You will receive a free consultation with a genetic counsellor or doctor.
• Reports on Genetic health risks, Oral health, Mental health, Athletic performance, Pharmacogenetics

HOW ACCURATE IS THE DNA SALIVA TEST KIT?
The DNA Kits that CircaGene use have over 99% accuracy rates, but the accuracy of any DNA test depends on a variety of factors, including the quality of the sample, so please follow the instructions carefully and avoid eating, drinking or smoking for at least 30 minutes before the test.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY DNA SALIVA TEST KIT RESTULTS?

Once CircaGene has received the sample back from you, it will take 2.5 weeks for Oral Health Customers and 4.5 weeks for Whole Genome Customers.

The security of your bacterial DNA data is our highest priority. That is why we encrypt your data at source before we analyse it, using world-leading FHE technology, so only you can manage who has access to your data.

WHAT IF MY DNA SALIVA TEST KIT IS LOST OR DAMAGED IN THE MAIL?

Your personal details will not be on the box so no one will be able to tie the box to you. If it is lost or stolen, we will send out a replacement to you.
